Wales Trek - Part 2 -> Cardiff Castle

Started off the day with breakfast. We were served the proper English breakfast, but as you can see I only went to the extent of scrambled eggs and a hash brown... no fatty meats or beans for me 😬 I did enjoy the croissants though! Sunflower butter is very good too.

First stop was the St. Fagans National Museum, which to our surprise was mostly outdoors! They also had a food festival at the time, so we got to sample a few different kinds of cakes, breads, flapjacks, and jams.

The place was very beautiful, had nice gardens, and definitely a more countryside, laid back type of feeling.

Our next stop was at Cardiff Castle. The inside of the Castle was gorgeous. The ceilings and windows were breathtaking.

Last stop before going back to the hotel, I stopped by the Cardiff market and bought a Welsh cake and sugar coated jam donut. (Only 50p each!) and they were both soooo tasty. Definitely worth it.

Last, once at the hotel, I got myself a cup of tea and a specialty cake. I’ve been eyeing it since I came here. I tried a sticky orange and chocolate frosting cake 🤤 and omgggg it was heaven. It was like a giant Jaffa cake. They’re really into orange and chocolate combos here and I love it! Great way to end the day and relax for the night.
