Namsan Mt. Hanok Village, Seoul Tower-Training Going Up

WOW! up at 5 am so that we can meet at the bus to start the first training day in Seoul, South Korea.  Jenna had a protein bar and some water before we left.

Namsan mountain was nice and shaded on the way up but the stairs were very steep and most of the time there were no hand rails.  Along the way there were places to stop and stretch out or work out.  I felt VERY out of shape since there were seniors passing me on the stairs.  They also had on long sleeves, pants, a hat and weren’t sweating.  I had short sleeves on and capris and I was sweating.

Since the competitors were jogging I lost them.  The path split and I had to guess which way they went.  I met a Korean woman coming down and first asked if she spoke English.  She said a little.  We were all wearing the same shirt so I pointed to my shirt and asked if she saw our group jog by.  She said yes and that they were at the top of the mountain exercising.  I said Thank you and then she told me I had 20 minutes more of walking to get there.  UGH!
