October 12, 2018 -> Rome, Italy -> Rome Food

Food in Rome 😍

Breakfast: REAL coffee and delicious tarts (lemon berry and plum)

Lunch: Spinach Ravioli and 4 cheese pizza. Best pizza I’ve ever had! (Tried ravioli for the first time. Could be an issue though because I’ll never want ravioli again since my standards are set so high)

Dinner (aka dessert): GELATO! (Chocolate hazelnut dipped cone with chocolate orange, Oreo, and Nutella ice cream) (Mom’s cone: tiramisu, lion, and chocolate orange)

Late night snack: wine tasting... chocolate, tiramisu, and amaretto liquors are the best

October 12, 2018 -> Rome, Italy -> Hotel

Quick note here, Barbara and Jenna made it to their Italian hotel (B&B) slightly after midnight.

Their shuttle driver could not speak English, but my public school taxes kicked in and Jenna, with 5 years of Italian under her belt, was able to communicate their destination.

There was a little surprise when they reached the hotel and the shuttle driver demanded cash in Euros, not US Dollars, UK Pound, nor Credit Cards.

Neither had any Euros, the UK is back on the Pound Sterling since BR exit, and their was a Mexican stand-off until the night clerk at the hotel lent the money to Barbara so she could pay the driver.

After a much needed sleep (Barbara was up close to 48 hours) and a quick breakfast at the B&B, Jenna and Barbara were ready for some heavy Italian touring.

The hotel (B&B) was nothing special, but its location to all of Romes attractions made it extremely desirable.
