November 9, 2018 -> Arrival in Paris (Disneyland?)

EuroStar Trip

Hopped off the High-Speed EuroStar train from (London, St. Pancras) to (Paris, Gare du Nord) through the 31 mile Channel Tunnel, then two quick Paris tube connections to (Marne La Vallée/Chessy Station) which brought us to the gate of Disneyland Paris.

The Eurostar service line reaches speeds up to 300 kilometres per hour (186 mph) except within the Channel Tunnel, where the speed is reduced to 160 kilometres per hour (100 mph) for safety reasons.

First Day in Paris, France ... Did we visit the:

  • Eiffel Tower
  • Louvre Museum
  • Notre-Dame de Paris
  • Arc de Triomphe
  • Palace of Versailles
  • Moulin Rouge

No!  Off to Disneyland

November 4, 2018 -> Rugby

Short post, but I went to my first Rugby game today! Got a Harlequin shirt too (even though they lost) haha

Don’t judge me, but also got “chips” with chunky apple sauce on top (think of it this way... it is plausible because Germans eat potato pancakes with apple sauce)

November 3, 2018 -> Blenheim Palace and Oxford University

Blenheim Palace and Oxford University trip

The palace was a absolutely lovely and so were the grounds around it.  At the cafe I got dark chocolate hot cocoa and gluten free chocolate almond cake 😍

Then we froze our butts off at the over 2 hour tour of Oxford University.  Was able to purchase a nice pair of jeans and an Oxford University shirt at a decent price though 👍

(At the very end is just a few pictures from earlier in the week)

Also on Halloween I went to London Dungeon which was really cool (can’t take pictures though, so I have none)

October 28, 2018 -> Kensington Palace

Started off the day visiting Kensington Palace. So cold outside today.

Then we went to an American diner, there I got a really nice chicken Caesar salad. I’ve been craving one so bad lately! Also, there is a boomerang I took of my friends’ chocolate milkshakes.

After that we came back and carved pumpkins! (Scroll all the way to the end to see the final product) This was first time doing this, but I think it turned out okay 🎃

Then I took a yoga class and had some strawberry banana oatmeal for dinner 😍

October 20, 2018 -> Scavenger Hunt, Aunt Visit

Today was our Husky Hunt with the FIE students.

After all our pigtail braid coordinating, and Kelsey doing my hair on the tube, unfortunately, our Husky Army has to be split into Husky and Army. Kelsey Bohannon, Katie Murphy, and I came in 3rd! What a work out that was! We took pictures with a crown, a lion statute, a pink door, a royal family member, the underground symbol, Peter Pan statue (which ahhhhh so excited I finally got to see!), a dinosaur, the Princess Diana Fountain, and much more 😂 so that explains all the goofy random selfies.

(Peep the picture of my new NEU hat and husky paw stickers)

Before the Hunt we had pizza express and after was Ben’s Cookies ❤️ 🍪 (I have an addiction to these cookies. They’re SO good. I can’t pick a favorite, I love them all! Even the non chocolate ones like coconut and peanut butter are AMAZING)

Then afterwards I got to spend time with my Aunt Sheila (who happened to be in London for business) at St. James Park. So great to see her, especially since I’ll be missing thanksgiving this year 😢

Walked over 22 miles that day and almost 49,000 steps!

Photo’s Are Being Selected

I spoke to Barb @ 7 AM (NY Time) for about 45 minutes.  She had lost the ability to “Skype out” but was able to answer a Skype call.  I got her up and running on Skype again and she tested the ability to “Skype out” to me.   She was in the process of […]

Off to Jeju Island

I got a quick email from Barb @ 12:58 AM last night (this morning … at least Monday morning in Korea).  She was up waiting for her hair to dry.  She says the humidity is awful there and every day is a “big hair” day.  Barb said she would try to Skype me when she […]
